Dog Day Care
A day in care should reflect a typical day in the life of a dog. They should have ample exercise, play, and mental stimulation, but, they should also be able to relax and rest. Therefore, there should be quiet areas gated off in any Doggy Day Care, there may be beds, blankets or sofas for Fido to chill and sleep.
Evaluations Pet Care
Domestic animal health services are supplied to communities in Canada’s Northwest Territories (NT) in diverse ways, including private veterinary practices in 2 of 33 communities, and by mail-order, fly-in, free clinics, and a government-coordinated lay vaccinator program in some of the other 31 communities. We evaluated delivery, needs, and potential uptake of domestic animal health services in the Sahtu Settlement Area, NT by offering free clinics for 225 dogs in 2008 and 2009; and administered questionnaires to 42 dog owners and 67 students in 2008.
Protecting Hair Fall
Feed your pet a multivitamin with Omega 3 fatty acids, which may help restore your pet's skin healthy and reduce hair loss. If your pet is constantly itching, this can cause hot spots and other skin diseases which may trigger hair loss. Give your pet a monthly flea preventative to kill fleas and other pesky insects
Dog Parasites Treatment
Roundworms and hookworms can be treated with a product containing pyrantel pamoate. Dogs with tapeworms should be treated with praziquantel (available over the counter or from your veterinarian). A whipworm infestation may be treated with fenbendazole available from your veterinarian.
